Welcome and thanks for dropping by.

My name is Clare Allison and I’m an author. I love writing tales for children, children’s picture books and longer stories.

I hope you enjoy my website and the images on it, which have been created by my illustrator and are examples of what you will see in my children’s picture books.

‘Lily, Scout and the Red Balloon.’ a picture book for 3 – 7 year olds. Meet Lily, a little girl with bright eyes and a laugh like bubbles in a brook. Her day turns upside down when Scout, a playful pup, sends her beloved red balloon soaring into the sky. With tears welling up, Lily blames Scout for her lost treasure. But Scout refuses to be just a ‘bad dog.’ He has a plan! He’s on a tail-wagging mission to chase that balloon and bring it back. Can he succeed and win Lily’s heart?

This is a story about:
Forgiveness: Learning to let go of anger and accept the power of ‘I’m sorry.’
Compassion: Looking beyond first impressions and seeing the good in everyone.
Friendship: Discovering that kindness always wins, even after a shaky start.
